In a previous life I rather enjoyed making a racket on congas, timbales and other percussion, but stopped gigging in 1982, after 10 crazy years, in order to pursue more mundane stuff. It was only in 2014, after a relationship went t/u and I needed another interest to focus on, that I bought some percussion gear again and rediscovered the joy of playing. Since then, I've joined a couple of local amateur music projects, but ideally would like to play with more committed and perhaps more capable musos. I have my own transport.

Influences
At the tender age of 15 I saw Jimi Hendrix at the Bournemouth Winter Gardens and haven't been the same since. I still get a teensy bit wet listening to Weather Report, but also enjoy a diverse range of other stuff, from artists as far apart as Joni Mitchell and Rage ATM.

EQUIPMENT
Three LP Congas; LP Matador Bongos; LP Mini-bongoes, plus assorted cymbals, chimes, shakey, rattley, clattery, tinkly, scrapey, whirry thingies. I also have three nasty (dynamic) mics at the moment, which I intend to replace the very instant I become rich and famous.
