Influences
My musical tastes are heavily rock based including the likes of arena-rock legends Journey, Def Leppard, Survivor, Aerosmith etc. More modern influences include hard rock bands such as Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Audioslave, Creed, Pearl Jam etc. I'm a sucker for a frontman with a great voice; Steve Perry, Jimi Jamison, Freddie Mercury, to name a few. I also have a great love of singer/songwriters such as Damien Rice, David Gray, Newton Faulkner and the likes of Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder who have done solo work and work with their own bands. Lyrics and meanings are important to me in a song as is melody and killer hooks and riffs. Songs you can relate to take you on a journey.
