SEEKING
Vocalist, Acoustic Guitar, Other Percussion, Saxophone.ABOUT
Acoustic guitarist with good vocals
Also play many other stringed fretted instruments to various degrees;
bass, banjo, balalaika, tenor ukulele, lap steel mandolin and Appalachian dulcimer
(very good on that!)
Can read music and good knowledge of theory re chords and harmony
Looking to form acoustic band to play mixture of my own, traditional and classic tracks as in influences in folk clubs pubs
etc. Ideal lineup would be myself on 12 string, dulcimer and vocals, another acoustic guitar/vocalist, alto sax maybe doubling flute and whistle, and percussion. For example Irish tune "The Rocky Road To Dublin" in Am, which is in 9/8 time, with sax and 12 string playing the melody and then sax and other guitar taking solos. Folk jazz!
