ABOUT

Hi, I’m Helena Stewart and I am a singer. Professional? I hear you ask, well no is the answer to your question. I have a grown up
family and currently working as a healthcare support worker but music and singing have always been a passion in my life. I started to think seriously about becoming a singer in 2005 and after some vocal lessons became part of a vocal group/band called Heart Shaped Box, we performed original songs written by the members of the band.
Towards the end of 2008 I found a fabulous vocal coach who encouraged me to try new things and to step out on my own on the local music scene. I was the lead singer with local band "The Wildflowerz", we supported Nik Kershaw on his Scottish tour in 2010.
I was then the lead singer with Inverness cover band The Alter Natives.
I have done some solo performance for various events and am always on the lookout for new opportunities to sing, A few years ago I took part in the Inverness Opera Company's summer show "Gotta Sing" and am now a member of Highland Voices Gospel Choir and have performed with them at fundraising events, weddings, Belladrum festival, red hot highland fling, zombie ness and various venues across the highlands.
