Currently looking for percussionist/cajon/drums for various projects. Please get in touch on 0777 3957119 or helencolins at dot com for more information! Here’s a little bit about the band (although I’m looking for other projects this gives you a bit of an idea!)
Blue Skies in June are a collective of musicians showcasing edgy, strong female vocals performing indie twists on a variety of genres fuelled with harmonies, guitars, piano & passion that give crackling electricity on stage that audiences love. They lift spirits and raise the roof with performances combining current, alternative pop songs with classics from the 90’s as a sassy female fronted band. Add in three part harmonies, driving guitar and a bucket load of energy and you get something along the lines of Fleetwood Mac singing The Hills by The Weeknd.
Over the past couple of years Blue Skies in June have been a staple at local music events playing at Barefoot Festival, Foxton Locks Festival, Hallatonfest, Riverside, Western Park and Oxjam and have gigged at many venues across Leicester (Firebug, The Exchange, Duffy's, The Musician, The Soundhouse, Pi Bar etc) and Leicestershire. They also frequently play at private functions and weddings, making sure they allow time in their schedule for a month of gigs on the main festival stage at Xtreme Scream (Blue Skies in June have played here for the Halloween season throughout October for the past few years).
