Vocalist/guitarist (me) and drummer (Emiliano) are looking for a committed bass player to complete the line-up of our new originals band.
We have a number of songs already devised and have some initial demos recorded. Stylistically they are in the vein of alternative/post-punk (early Editors/Joy Division/Interpol etc.) but with synth elements that are played through backing tracks when we perform live. The closest reference to our sound is probably the debut album by White Lies.
We have Mon-Fri day jobs so are not looking to drop everything and go on tour any time soon but do take this very seriously as a hobby and would need our fellow bandmate to share that same level of commitment.
The current bass parts are by no means set in stone so we are looking for someone who can come in and tweak/improve these as they see fit. You don’t have to be a bass virtuoso, just bring a good sense of timing and, most importantly, a professional attitude.
We rehearse at Arch Studios, Chiswick, on selected Saturdays and Sundays (11am-3pm) and in between rehearsals we spend a lot of our time working on our parts for the songs. If you have the means to record your bass parts remotely then this would be advantageous (we both work with Logic).
This would probably most suit someone in the 35-45 age bracket but we’re happy to work with people outside of this range providing they share our same vision and work ethic. It goes without saying that applicants of all genders and races are welcomed.
