Hi.
Hope you are all well. I'm a violinist and have now been learning/playing for 28 years and have played in orchestras, string quartets and as a soloist.
I'm looking to form an amateur string quartet (myself, another violinist, a violist and a cellist) so we can get together, rehearse and play a whole manner of repertoire including classical and pop themed music eg. music from Bridgerton.
The plan is, for now, we would start out playing for fun, with a gradual progression towards paid work.
Every session that we have together will be an opportunity to fine tune different skills (both technically and with regards to musicality) and to grow as musicians as a team.
I'm looking for other keen amateur musicians to join me on this journey and with a collective love for working with others and of course, music, we can look to forward to many productive hours in working together to play and discuss ideas.
Busking as a quartet may be on the cards, to start off with, once we have a solid repertoire list.
