We're a Cardiff-based band looking for a Cardiff-based replacement for our much-loved lead guitarist who is moving on to pastures new.

We're fairly democratic so an ability to go with the flow and accept the majority opinion on what you/we are creating is a must! This goes for most of what we do really, we're quite a tight-knit gang but we are very welcoming and we'd expect the same approach from anyone brought in :)

Ideally we're looking for someone who's able to write his/her own parts with sensitivity to what else is going on in the song i.e. not drowning others out or disappearing on guitar-based adventures at the wrong moment... At times, it may need to be sparse but memorable, but you'll have opportunities to rock out sometimes too! Once parts are written though, we'd expect you to remember them to give some consistency, although a bit of variation is to be expected inevitably... We've already got two EPs so there'll be some learning as well although we are writing the new album at the moment too! :)

So, in short, someone chilled, talented, creative, not in any other bands, preferably own transport, own equipment and who plays well with others ;)

Influences

Musically, it's never easy to describe but it's a bit funky, a bit angsty, a bit of pathos and a bit of rocking out... Members Of Band

A bit about us... we're a standard drum/bass/2 guitar combo (1 now missing obviously) along with a trumpet player who may soon start introducing some keys to proceedings... Most of the songs are written by the singer (although there's been more writing collaboration recently), each individual seems to be pretty good at coming up with some funky parts and we all decide on the structure together... we try and practice weekly (we share the cost of this) and we're aiming towards recording an album in the summer or autumn... We've got some festival gigs booked over the summer in Wales and Cornwall so if you're not able to devote quite a lot of time to the band then maybe we're not the band for you sadly...
