I’m a 21 year old keyboard player based in Flintshire looking to join a rock, R&B, funk, pop or beyond group with ambitions to record original music.
I’ve been playing keyboards for 6 or so years casually and begun to take my practice seriously over the last couple of years.
I play by ear and I know a broad range of popular music from all periods and for any songs I don’t know I can learn most pop and rock songs and relatively simple R&B and Funk songs in a few minutes. More complicated songs will take me a little longer.
I play at a moderate to advanced level (depending on the genre- super complicated jazz, prog and fusion will take me a little while to get my head around, but I’m enthusiastic to try anything.)
I can improvise and solo competently on most songs using major, minor, pentatonic, blues lydian and phrygian/phryg dominant scales. More complicated songs using more complicated scales or other modes will take me some time to work out lines and riffs to play.

Influences
I listen to a lot of music from all kinds of genres. Modern rock & alternative, classic rock and prog rock. Jazz, soul, R&B, funk, disco and jazz fusion. Synth/ dance pop and ballads, modern pop, hip hop and trap.
I particularly like Stevie Wonder (and all the Motown artists), Genesis and Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, David Bowie, Steely Dan (and a bunch of yacht Rock guys like Michael Mcdonald and Kenny Loggins), Miles Davis, Yes, Radiohead, Pulp, Muse, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Kendrick Lamar, Vulfpeck, Snarky Puppy and Jacob Collier.
