ABOUT

Hi everyone, I am a guitarist/songwriter based in a village near Banbury. I've been playing since I was about 13 and I am 35 now. Ever since hearing MJ - Beat It I wanted to play guitar. In my earlier days I played some pop-punk, from Blink 182 to Offspring, eventually I was full Metallica, Machine Head, Pantera fan boy in my teenage years. As I've got older I mainly listen to classic rock, progressive rock, blues bits and a range of stuff, but usually involving guitars!

I live and breathe music, and last year I invested in equipment to start home recording and building a concept album for myself, in order to learn the ropes of production. I own a couple of Strats and a couple of Les Pauls.

I am not certain what I am looking for exactly, but I am open to joining or creating a covers band, but equally happy to work with others who want to create original music. I can work with singers, keyboardists or stringed instruments to write material and record/produce it if we wanted.

I wish I was a great singer, and I am trying to learn. I think I can sing ok in some ranges and I am figuring it out. But I would really need someone else as a lead singer or a shared vocal band. Guitar wise I can do lead and rhythm. I've included a few older examples on older guitars. I have also included an unfinished demo of one of my own songs from a concept album called 'Cosmonaut'. My vocals on it are not final, but a guide. There is also a line missing from the end of the song.

I drive, can practice a few times a week and a gig a week would be pretty sufficient for me! Any questions, get in touch. See music lists/influences below for an idea of where I am at!

I work in video/photography media so have a fair bit to offer on that front too for promotion.
