ABOUT

I am so much more inspired playing with other people. This could be another electronic music creator/performer or maybe a vocalist.

I am imagining working on some sounds together for a few months to having enough tracks to perform a 15 minute live set at an electronic open mic night I know in Brighton . I would love that to incorporate many generes, ambience, drone, samples, jungle, break beats, , I think, but also maybe a vocalist or two.. would be amazing.

I am self taught. I starting out around 2000 using Reason shortly after getting my first PC, and quickly started collaborating with other artists on soundcloud, I would try ANYTHING with anyone, it was chaotic, but cool..on soundcloud these were some of my best experiences; I am really hoping to find the same here..

I'm looking for a melodic partner - someone to jam musically with, be them singer or instrumentalist - but with the end goal to create something to play ive and get heard!

I moved to Ableton around 2 years ago, and purchsed a few synths, a digitakt and launchpad to learn to perform my music live. I have since performed a few open mics but not got anything permenant going with anyone yet.

I have my own sound and use ableton along with the various synths, midi synced, recorded and played live; the digitakt falls in and out of favour, but I will always use some drum loops from the DAW.

I guess I'd describe my sound as ambient breakbeat maybe, I like to play melodic deep pieces of music, often classically influenced, with soaring synths, and break beats.. and weird samples, and a bit wonky and odd but funky and deep - Jake
