I'm a bit of veteran but have not been an active member of a band or performed for over 5 years. However, I have played and composed music with friends in that time. They have moved away and I am also looking to see whether there is an opportunity to find like minded and creative musicians locally, with an interest in performance if things go well.

Influences
Most of the progressive rock core bands historically, and of those around now I'd highlight: Riverside, Haken, Gazpacho, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Flower Kings and Steven Wilson. I'm also interested in World Music influences, particularly from Asia and the Arabic world. Jazz from Bebop onwards is an interest and I'd highlight Bill Frisell as an influence there. I have a classical training and was a concert classical guitarist way back when.

EQUIPMENT
Lukather Ibanez electric guitar; Electric bass; full size electric piano with touch sensitive keyboard and a variety of synthesised voices; Classical guitar,, variety of effects pedals; Peavey modelling amp; some old practice amps; Tascam porta studio etc. I expect to add a smaller more modern synthesiser and possibly drum machine to this collection fairly soon.
