Jaque Blanc & The Mattress Orchestra brings a cheeky revival of the rich, sultry grooves that defined the soundtracks of 70s and 80s adult films. With a dedication to recreating those iconic melodies, the band dives deep into an often-overlooked niche of musical history. Through a fully themed stage production, Jaque Blanc leads the charge, letting the music do all the talking.
The band is something I've been itching to do for years. I've spent over a decade playing bass in an established tribute band, touring around the UK/internationally and honing my craft. After all those shows and experiences, I really wanted to dive into something different and a bit more playful. This project, Jaque Blanc & The Mattress Orchestra, is a chance to take those skills and have a bit of fun with a niche that's been largely forgotten. It’s all about bringing those 70s and 80s grooves back to life in a way that feels fresh and entertaining, it's fun, largely unheard off and mostly importantly, musically fantastic, it's by no means a joke.
Each show is an experience where nostalgia meets modern flair, turning forgotten funk and seductive jazz into a lively, immersive performance. Audiences are invited to rediscover the unapologetic rhythms that once set the mood for a generation. With a perfect blend of humor, musicianship, and a touch of glamor, Jaque Blanc & The Mattress Orchestra find a way to make every night unforgettable.

EQUIPMENT
For my bass rig I play through an Augilar Tone Hammer head and TC cab set up, my main bass is a Marcus Miller Sire fretless 5 string, board wise it's built up often of Strymon, TC and other misc brands like Darkglass and the occasional boutique brand, often updated, never satisfied.
