SEEKING
Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
I've been playing guitar for nearly 8 years, and I'm fairly competent at both rhythmic and lead work. I can play a variety of styles- metal, blues, indie, etc etc. I play a lot at home, so I know the fretboard pretty well. Not a huge amount of gigging experience but I would like to change that.
I do a bit of songwriting, and I'm currently trying to do a home demo to show some of my ideas. Really I'm just looking for other musicians to have fun with, maybe do something serious, maybe not.

Influences
All sorts, but as a rule anything that's a little bit smarter than your average pop:
progressive stuff such as Jethro Tull, Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd, etc.
post rock/ambient - Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Ros, Zero 7, Mogwai...
grunge/metal - Khoma, Mastodon, Smashing Pumkins, Maiden...
intelligent indie type music: Mew, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Flaming Lips etc.
Proper rock - Led Zeppelin, Muse, RATM...
the list goes on :)
EQUIPMENT
Tokai Loverock guitar.
Starfire bass (it's shite, but I got it because it was cheap).
Crafter electro-mandolin. It's rather nice.
30 watt Marshall Amp (I shall be upgrading soon).
Zoom G7.1 effects unit thingy. Very complicated.
