Hi, Im Jim.

42, bassist, based in Woodlesford, Leeds. Done the pub rock, originals, function band scenes and looking for something different. Not bothered for gigging or money, just want to put something enjoyable and musically interesting together, jam, and see where it goes. This band can be a slow burner - something that will stand the test of time. it can be a place to learn and express yourself in a way you can't do elsewhere. it can also be your second band, if you need to gig to pay the bills.

Have played a lot of styles over the last 20 years, but am currently listening to a lot of funk like Vulfpeck and really like the idea of a stripped back drums/bass/keys outfit that can write excellent pieces of music and then invite various people along to feature on different parts.

Initially, it would be fantastic to meet a groove oriented funk drummer who can rock the kick/snare/hat setup and jam and see how we get on. Then I'd love to add Hammond or Rhodes for some harmonic action.

Influences

Tough to say! I've learned quite a lot of styles over the past few years and have picked up things from each along the way. I do like an element of funk in music though, wherever I may find it.
