Jiri Holec AVAILABLE FOR RECORDING
Jiri is a classically trained double bass player. Before moving to the UK, he was very active in the Czech Republic. He travelled around Germany with the brass band 'Zosanka' where he played the tuba. He regularly recorded for Cz TV1, played for the vocal ensemble 'Septet Voices' jazz quartet 'Bakers of Jazz Music' and 'Big Band CL', He has also worked with Pavel Vetrovec, one of the leading pianists in the Czech Republic and with jazz guitarist Ivan Kostal.
Since moving to Bristol, he has been a regular participant with the Modern Jazz veterans Cousin Mary, Rachel Kerry Jazz Trio, Beth Ford Quartet, Ruby Jazz, Fromage en Feu, Guzek Trio, Trio Mussete, and his project JH-Bossa.
Jiri is also an accomplished Tuba player and Bass guitarist.
