Looking for a bassist not too far from Chesham, who can also do some backing vocals to join myself on vocals and acoustic guitar and existing drummer to form a 3-piece covers band. Ideally we would get up to speed quite quickly and start playing live. This won’t be a full-on commitment, probably several gigs a year. My current acoustic covers list includes Beatles, Joe Jackson, Killers, James, The Jam, Crowded House, Oasis, REM, Arctic Monkeys, Simon & Garfunkel. You can check out my solo covers on YouTube (search ‘Jon Fordham Covers’).
There may also be a chance to record some bass on some of my original stuff (Check out Subtle Sonics on Spotify, YouTube, etc). Later on, the live band may expand to include a lead guitarist and play some noisier covers, as well as some original stuff. However to start with I want to keep it simple with a 3-piece acoustic covers band, just to get up to speed quickly and start playing live again.
