SEEKING
Band to Join, Steel guitar, Dobro, Fiddle, Other Percussion, Acoustic Guitar.ABOUT
Very strong pop/rock/folk/country vocalist (ie highly competent, not strong as in Dave Lee Roth).
Absolute expert all-styles harmonica player. So good I'm sick of it. Favourite key F.
Sound rhythm guitar. I've got a Telecaster Thinline with a nice leather strap.
Songwriter, naturally.
Fiddle now pretty solid, specially as Dave Swarbrick is now sadly ailing - can play second on jigs and reels (unless you want harmonica), lead on country/rock, eg Hank Williams, Cajun, Stones and can approximate on more poppy, tricky stuff.
Can learn stuff quick but NO NOTES, please.
Tenor sax now well on the road to Junior Walker having a coughing fit.
Personality faults? Yes, hunnerds, but I ain't lazy.
There are those who play from music, and those from whom music plays.
Don't drink now so don't ask me.
Congratulations. You are more spaced than I am.

Influences
You, if you like. Not into mainstream manufactured cruise-ship wedding Hot Swing type stuff, or Klezmer. Better at Hank Williams than I am at Otis Redding but working on it. Can sing contemporary stuff too, but find most cheesey. People ask me what the difference between 'Fiddle' and 'Violin' is. It's the difference between Sonny Boy Williamson and and Larry Adler. With varnish.
