No longer looking for a bass guitarist, Thunderhead is a classic rock covers band with a side line in original material. By the end of 2017 the band will play 28 gigs in the year, mainly in pubs and clubs. We expect to play a similar number in 2018.
Keith Elford, John Hiles, Russell Ayres and Stuart Sollors are veterans of the Surrey music scene. We play because we enjoy it, but we set ourselves a high standard, one which we aim to maintain. We are looking for an experienced, capable and reliable player who will fit in with the band ethos - we're mates, we're very much in it together, and we do the best we can.
We will be gigging covers of classic rock songs by artists such as Bad Company, Free, Floyd, Deep Purple, Neil Young, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Status Quo etc. largely from the early 70s.
