I’m a bassist and sound guy with plenty of experience, most recently as part of a ska band called The Jumpstarts.
In addition to playing bass, I handled the band’s online promotion, video and sound editing, provided all the gear, and managed sound engineering at gigs. Even built and repaired our equipment when needed.
Sadly, that chapter has come to an end, but I’m looking to start or join something new and exciting! Ideally, I’d love to create or join a band with a similar feel.
I’d love to meet up with singers, guitarists, drummers, keyboard players, trumpets, saxes, trombones, harmonicas, percussionists, and honestly, if you’ve got a kazoo or a melodica and the right vibe, you’re in!

Influences
I’m a bit of a magpie with music. My tastes include ska and reggae, as well as hip-hop, funk, soul, and Motown. I grew up on 90s Britpop and indie music and would be happy to play most styles, though I’m not keen on metal. I especially enjoy covers when they reinterpret the original creatively.

EQUIPMENT
I primarily play a Fender Jazz or Precision Bass and use Markbass amplification, though I’ve recently been going ampless and running direct into the PA. Speaking of PAs, I’ve got one! Along with a modern mixing desk, stage monitors, mics, mic stands, and pretty much everything a band could need for rehearsals or gigs.
