LOOKING FOR BASSIST (Starting Jan.2025)
A well-established 80’s (mostly) covers band are looking for a permanent male bassist to join our guitar and keyboards based 5-piece.
Easy-going, fun-loving people, but at the same time very dedicated, passionate, lively performers playing fully live. The band have male and female leads with tracks spanning most genre and expanding with pop music from across the decades. Nothing too heavy but think Queen & Bon Jovi to Wham and The Bangles, a smattering of old school rock n roll and indie, with floor-fillers and sing-along anthems up to current charts.
We all have day jobs so we gig most Saturdays with an odd Friday or Sunday gig.
We are looking for an experienced, easy-going, fun-loving team-player. A bassist with an appreciation of 80’s pop music, good stage presence, preferably 30-50 years old and backing vocals would be great but not necessary. Own transport and gear would also be useful with a willingness to travel for the right gig. A willingness to dress the part too (but we don’t go OTT). We play occasional pubs and clubs we like but mostly festivals, events and parties, etc.
We would prefer someone with no other band commitments, though we do have a range of deps to cover holidays etc. We also have a dedicated rehearsal slot weekly on Thursday evenings.
We have other projects to be launched alongside our 80’s cover band.
