Looking to start a project, writing original songs and trying to figure out some kind of creative direction that bridges the gap between accessible music and artsy fartsy stuff. Certainly not ‘high art’, I haven’t got a lot of chops on the guitar and have no musical training or experience gigging. I’m just into the music and need to find something to do. Would be committed to consistent practice.

Influences
Pop stuff - The Beatles, Bowie, Kinks, Stones etc. Heavier/punk-ier stuff and alternative - Stooges, Velvet Underground, Pistols, Ramones, Nirvana, Pixies, Violent Femmes, Radiohead, The Las, R.E.M etc. I love Johnny Cash and Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, Patti Smith, all the smiths (including The Smiths). Some of my favourite bands and artists of our time are IDLES, Viagra Boys, Black Midi, Special Interest, Courtney Barnett, Fontaines D.C..
I have a soft spot for hip hop and reggae also, but as a guitar player, rock n roll is typically what influences me musically.
