Hi, my name is Lash Wynter - I am 23 year old, south east london based singer songwriter, I write and perform mainly with my keyboard and am a grade 6 classical pianist (so can read music).

I tend not to like to put my songs in a box labelled 'blahblah' genre but many people have compared my stuff to anything from Alicia Keys, to Tori Amos, I guess though at the end of the day I am just me...please see - youtube/lashwynter for an idea of my live stuff. I flatly refuse to sell out to commercialism and strive to bring real music about life, love, love lost and found to real people with open hearts and minds, lets bring it back to the music that started all of this.

I'm looking for fellow musicians to work with on my original material and some possible covers to start gigging and getting out there with, take my music from its very singular keyboard and singer setting into the full 'band sound'...can you help? get in touch please if you can..you need to be dedicated, open minded and prepared to put as much effort into this as I will...

Influences

I am influenced by everything and music wise i tend to keep an open mind - I love everything from the great singers of the past - aretha, nina, etta to the acoustic storytellers like tracy chapman, joni, armatrading, or anything from kanye west to madonna - you have to keep an open mind in music or it limits what you write!!
