I've been casually playing the guitar for 6 years and the piano for 3 years. I went to music college as a guitarist which is where I first started learning piano and it became my main instrument after a few years of practice. I've performed a handful of times on stage with a covers band and with college projects but I haven't yet played regularly in a band.
