I am a singer and songwriter. I was based in Japan for 11 years as a professional Japanese Pop singer and songwriter on Universal Japan. Since moving to UK I have been involved in a couple of projects since - both Electronic and live Band (playing electric guitar and keys while singing). Although I think my vocals, lyrics and melodies are my main thing - I’m a jack of all trades and able to play, arrange and mix to a fair degree.
I’m currently looking to start a new project and looking for a partner with a similar taste to work with. Someone who can co-write /co-produce and probably also a multi-instrumentalist!
I’d really love to make a record like the Charlotte Gainsbourg IRM album (produced by Beck). Although in the vein of alternative indie pop, I want to make something sophisticated yet raw and experimental also incorporate vinyl loops and samples.
Just to reiterate - I’m NOT looking to hire a producer! I am completely capable of self producing if I wanted to work on a solo project.
I’m looking for someone like minded who is up for collaborating, having fun and making cool music with 50/50 ownership!
