Lee Thomson is one of South Africas busiest and most versatile trumpet players and is well known for being a part of Hog Hoggidy Hog, Valve State, Closet Snare, Restless Natives and his own Lee Thomson Quintet. He has played, recorded and sessioned with the likes of Springbok Nude Girls, Goodluck, Goldfish, Card on Spokes, Fuzigish and Freshlyground to name a few. He has done a number of international gigs and has featured at almost every major South African Music Festival. He has also toured around Asia, Europe and South America with various bands. He has a strong interest in jazz and electronic music. He is also a busy DJ in and around Cape Town specializing in Downtempo, Jazz and Deep House
