Guitarist/Singer and Bass-player from long-running, established 5-piece covers band are looking to form an additional 3-piece band to cover a wider market. Require a committed and capable drummer to finish the line-up.

Should be capable of a variety of styles - see the influences section for a list of some of the likely material to be covered.

Once working, we expect to make around £100 - £150 per person per gig, and be gigging most weekends. We have a manager and agents lined up once we are ready to go.

Location: We are based in Manchester and Halifax, so you need to be somewhere around there. We're currently rehearsing in Halifax to learn the new set (probably once a week to start with), but once we're up and running we won't do much rehearsing, just gigging.

Influences

As a trio we will be aiming to cover everything from the 50's to the present day.

Many things to be expected like The Jam, Beatles, Kinks, Stones etc, but also our own interpretations of some less likely material - Frank Sinatra for example, plus more up to date stuff - Kaiser's, Fratellis etc

Although a lot of the material above is traditionally a straight 4 rhythm, we'd like to be able to play around with versions incorporating more different styles - adding a funky vibe to something more traditionally a rock song etc, so an open mind and a flexible style would be desirable.

This will be a working band (based in the north, but prepared to cover national gigs), but the emphasis will definitely be on fun - you must be looking to enjoy this and not just see it as a job.

Members Of Band

Matt - Guitar and vocals. Based in Sale, Manchester.

Colin - Bass and some backing vocals. Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

You - Drums. Based somewhere near enough for us all to get together to rehearse (currently in Halifax, but maybe Manchester). Also, any backing vocal talent would be most welcome, but is not a requirement. You must have transport though.

EQUIPMENT

We have good gear and would expect you to have your own kit of at least a reasonable standard.

We carry a small PA system and lights, and may be upgrading this soon.
