SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I am a Bass player living in Bourne. If you need to know more please read on ? My earliest recollections come from the late fifties before the age of 11 playing Skiffle tunes (mmm!) a mates back garden, it was amazing the effect that Lonnie Donnegan had on the population. Up until the mid sixties I played in youth club bands as a rhythm guitarist as we called them then. During the sixties the Thurrock music scene was something else and I had the pleasure of watching the likes of - John Mayall in various guises, Fleetwood Mac, The Artwoods, The In Crowd, Shotgun Express, Mike Patto and the Continentals, Dave Curtis and the Tremors, Bern Elliot and the Fenmen, Cops and Robbers and many more. This formed the foundation for my later playing career. The seventies and eighties I spent mainly playing bass in London and the home counties including the Marquee, the Bridge House, the Dublin Castle to name but a few. During the nineties I played with The Denny Newman Band a meeting that culminated in me having the pleasure of playing bass on his acclaimed album "Bless Tupelo". In the time I spent playing in Denny's band I found myself in the esteemed company of Tom McGuinness , Steve Waller, Mick Green, John Lingwood, Geoff Whitehorn, Dave Kelly, Clive Mulcahy, Tony Williams and had a great time.
