ABOUT

I started playing drums and percussion at age 11 and had the good fortune to have worked as a session musician and live performer and played with or for record producers, independent singer/songwriters and with my own bands.

I see a lot of adverts stating a maximum age of 30 or 40 but I think it’s okay if you remember the moon landings and pounds, shillings and pence as long as you still feel the urge to play and have the chops! Clem Burke is nearly 70 – would you turn him down because he’s over 40?

I've been playing for slightly over 50 years with breaks only for two battles with cancer (I won with God's help). Fighting fit again since 2015 I got back into music playing open mic nights and supporting my son Jacob A, who is starting his music career and is an outstanding drummer.

I'm a seasoned percussionist and can add a range of complementary sounds to enhance any band with Latin style instruments.

I've also worked with a Christian rock band as a multi-instrumentalist on drums, percussion and bass guitar.

I'm click-friendly, can sight read and learn very quickly. Ego-free with a high degree of professionalism and musicianship.
