Band to Join, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Saxophone.ABOUT
Hi, Thanks for viewing. I'm a keen music lover with a wide range of styles and influences (below). I took a long break from live music due to family commitments and to write electronic music in my studio. I've been playing keys for many years, and can play Sax (though haven't played it for years but would love to opportunity to pick it up again!). I have also started to learn bass guitar. -I love bass influenced music so why it took me over 30 years to pick it up and give it a try I'll never know! -I do miss playing live so be great to find like minded musicians and singers that are interested in playing something with some soul or funk. -That said, I'd also be up for trying to do something with a modern electronic edge too. -Drum and Bass, club classics etc... I'm sure with the right musicians and will we could do something very unique. If your looking to work with someone who has a funky edge, lots of different ideas and influences get in touch!
With regard to frequent gigs, -especially during the week, I'd struggle to commit regularly. My regular day job can often throw up last minute commitments that must be dealt with, but weekends mostly are unaffected.

Influences
Lots! -Early influences, of course, James Brown, 70's,80's,90's funk. Motown/soul. David Sanborn was on repeat all the time, along with, of course, Marcus Miller a massive influence. Smoov and Turrel and pretty much anything played on the Craig Charles funk and soul show!. Played a gigging band playing soul/ The Commitments music, but around 20 years ago. also some early rock numbers. 90's dance classics (My Korg keyboard has all the classic piano and organ sounds of the era). I love drum and bass, house, breaks, etc. Could list more but maybe easier to say what I don't really do, which is metal/country/blues. Don't get me wrong I don't mind some, but wouldn't choose to play it exclusively.
