I’m a jazz pianist who has been playing for around 10 years. I’m looking for musicians who want to play for fun and develop their skills together. I like to gig from time to time in pubs, local festivals etc. I also sing jazz though I’m not necessarily looking to do that in a band right now. Before I got into jazz I had a classical background singing and playing violin (now rusty).

Influences
I play a variety of styles including swing, bop, latin. I play (and sing) a lot of Chet Baker. Nikki Iles has been a big influence on my playing. My favourite piano players are Red Garland, Mal Waldron, Lennie Tristano, Bill Evans, Mose Allison, Elliot Galvin. I’m also into new UK jazz scene such as Dinosaur, Ezra Collective, GoGo Penguin, Troyka.
