Feeling angry at the rightward shift of the world? It's time to state the case for the alternative. With tunes.

I want to start a band that sings about important topics, denouncing toxic masculinity, racism, disinformation, addresses the climate crisis, animal rights, mental health, the cost of living, calls out our corrupt government, speaks up for the poor, immigrants, the disabled, and the LGBTQI+ community. I want our message to be intellectually sound, yet simple, nuanced and emotive. And not to be too po-faced about it, I’d still like a sense of humour, catchiness/danceability, sexuality, and to avoid being judgemental. Basically, a tool for activism, promoting equality for all.

I want a broad palette of sounds. I can play guitar/bass and have pro-level equipment including MIDI-syncable effects. I can also do basic keys and vocals, but would like to find others to share it all out. With nothing set in stone, I imagine a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer and a synth player would be required, but that's not an exhaustive list. I'd like everyone to sing some vocals, as I think a range of voices/accents/languages/backgrounds/stories would be awesome. Someone who considers themselves primarily a singer is also welcome as I know my vocals aren’t up to much.

Anyone with something to add is welcome, including non-musicians, and I’m open to some online collaboration if you’re not based in Portsmouth.
