ABOUT

Hi all,

I'm Mirka, based in Newcastle, looking to start a duo, trio or even a full band with shared vocals with a male vocalist. If you play the acoustic guitar or any other instrument, that would be a massive plus! I love harmonies and very dynamic singing that focuses on nuances, I feel my voice works very well with male vocals.

I sing both lead and backing harmonies, plus play the acoustic guitar to accompany myself. Ideally I'd like a band where both voices are equally dynamic, I feel like there isn't really a proper male / female duo around at the moment. I would like to start off with covers (make them sound like our own) play gigs at pubs / bars (I have a few good contacts in Newcastle), and also work on writing original material.

I have a lot of experience playing in various venues in Newcastle as well as abroad. Currently I play and gig with an acoustic band but can easily fit another band in as I do feel hugely passionate about the opportunity to sing with a male vocalist :)
