Writing introductions is a pain in the arse. It's like sharing a fact about yourself in a group circle. Or getting asked your favourite film on the spot. Too many options. Anyhoo.
I'm a filmmaker, aspiring writer/director kinda deal, but I don't think there's actually any better feeling than catching a groove making a tune. It's just a pure stamp of time. That hairs raising on your arms moment. Nothing else like it. Why am I explaining... you know. fu*king hell this is long winded.
I'd say I'm not the best "musician" since my instrument practice has always been pretty sporadic, and the way I make music has mostly been by myself using Ableton. I rely a lot on electronic production techniques and midi/audio shaping to make up for my technical skill level and I'm pretty all over the place genre wise. But, most of my closest friends are professional producers, and they have been very encouraging, so I'm hitting this with fu*k it let's see what happens energy now. Collaboration is where it's at.
I'd say I'm competent on Ableton now, and my knowledge is decent. But recently, after doing some jam sessions with my bassist friend, I'm probably most comfortable and at my best as a vocalist, songwriter so would love to connect with some dedicated guitarists/keys/synth/drummers.
I feel like I can shape my voice towards different genres, and I like playing around. Easiest probably to just link you some rough demos.

Influences
Depends on the day. That whole "I'll listen to anything" as long as there's magic in there. I find I gravitate to songs with a dope bass line. Genre mixing. A mix of drum machines and live drums. Crunchy stuff, smooth stuff, peanut butter spreadable. Always switch it up. Hit me with some classical delights. Only thing I don't go for much is Metal, screamcore, overtly poppy etc.
Some artists on rotation this week: Mildlife, Cousin Kula, Sampha, James Blake, Chiminyo, Deki Alem, King Krule, Arthur Verocai, Aili, Jarad Miles, Coco Elise, Sunnan, Al Dobson Jr, Horatio Luna, Leon Vynehall, Roberta Flack, Talking Heads, Lilacs & Champagne, Al Massrieen, Charf Megarbane, Arc Du Soleil, Romare, Prince, Homer, Little Dragon, Nala Sinephro.
