Guitarist and songwriter, mostly doing home production stuff at the moment. I'd love to work with a great vocalist, as I'm not much of one myself (can fake some background vocals at best). I think the music I love to make can be rock and experimental, but with traditional pop structures underlying it.
I have a soundcloud link below which has some stuff. This was more along a dreampop vibe. However, I've really tried a range of things: more rock, harder and more experimental stuff, and I think you need a good balance as an artist. Experimenting and a broad palette, while still keeping a narrative. I can send other demos if you contact me, to show the range.

Influences
Plenty, but I'd say in the music I produce is most influenced by alternative and rock bands such as Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, David Bowie, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Sigur Ros, Alice in Chains, Incubus, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Pink Floyd, Death Cab For Cutie, Porcupine Tree, Broken Social Scene, various Britpop bands.
Others musicians and artists I love: Bjork, DJ Shadow, Prodigy, lots of electronic music (e.g. Bonobo, Tycho, Com Truise, Kiasmos), heavier stuff such as NIN, Pantera, RATM, Metallica, pop such as Prince, Empire of the Sun, classics such as Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra etc, classical composers such as Debussy, Ravel, Copland, and some world music. Hard to know how how much is reflected in the music I write, but influences come from everywhere of course.
