A 16-year old drummer looking for opportunities to play with other skilled musicians, as well as getting more experience with gigs and live audiences. I have played drums for 11 years, completed Grade 8 over 3 years ago, and have been working on becoming more fluent in various styles as well as a Trinity Performance Diploma since then. I currently play in 3 bands - JMS Big Band, Oxfordshire Youth Jazz Collective, and in the pit band for a Jesus Christ Superstar Musical.

Influences
In terms of jazz, Art Blakey and Sam Rivers are two big influence from the past, both players who were pioneers of jazz drumming with their bebop style. Kyle Poole and Jacob Wutzke are currently jazz drummers who inspire me with their ability to comp perfectly, always serving the music in the right way. I also listen to a lot of Larnell Lewis and Zach Graybeal, both jazz fusion/funk players with incredible chops and creativity behind the kit.
In terms of studio musicians, Dave Weckl is a solid player who never even slightly goes off the beat, which is perfection for drummers.

EQUIPMENT
I have a full acoustic drum kit, but no kit mics. I can't drive but can get lifts to places with my own kit, and can also cycle to venues if the kit is provided.
