I am 25 and a BLUEGRASS/NEW GRASS purist. I have played live music as an all rounder (but mainly drums) for about 12 years. I have played Scruggs style Banjo for about 5-6 years. I am fairly accomplished but am always wanting to improve. I practice all of the time. I also play mandolin and guitar.
I graduated from Newcastle in 2011 with a 2.1 in music. I acquired grade 8 (merit) for drum kit (RSL) and grade 7 (distinction) music theory (LCME) when I did my Btec in music performance at Wakefield college 2005-07. My experience in many musical settings has allowed me to apply my theoretical skills in very practical and appropriate ways.
I am in two bands I won't lie but I am always up for hooking up with some Bluegrassers to get out there and play live and I can make the time for an extra project.
I am looking for experienced flat pickers (guitar, mandolin, dobro) a fiddler and a double bassist to make a genuine unit. I know I am good enough to play with experienced, accomplished players.
I am only looking for people that are geared towards the style but I want them to have a proportionate amount of expertise and live experience. BLUEGRASS players only please. I do not mean to be rude but time is short. I know you're out there!
I am very friendly, hard working and itching to get on the road. Bluegrass is up and coming but still in its infancy in the UK. I want to be a part of it. Please if you like what you read then hear my call and get in touch. Dedicated players with good skill only. Age and gender are no problem as long as you're not crazy ha ha!!
I am mainly based in Huddersfield and do not currently drive.

EQUIPMENT
I have a series of Banjos, a Blue moon mandolin, a steel string guitar a PA; leads, mics etc. The use of my gear is negotiable. I suppose what I would ask in return is what gear do you have?
