ABOUT

I'm a pretty versatile keyboardist. I am also trying to build up confidence with my own singing. Keyboards wise I've played before in professional bands mostly doing motown/northern soul and occasional jazz gigs. Really enjoyed being in a 'The Meters' cover band once. I'm not really sure what my genre is as I tend to mix it all together in my head. I have a diploma from the ABRSM in classical piano and I studied jazz for a few years at a college. I am also really interested in modern gospel and have studied a bit of it. I love the way the modern players combine so many different influences of traditional gospel, jazz, pop and New Orleans style.

I prefer a very bluesy style of jazz and love pentatonic-y blues runs

I would be really interested at the moment in working with a vocalist to play some local gigs/ weddings etc. I'd also be interested in helping a talented singer with great melodies realise full songs and arrangements. I am happy to (do my best!) with some backing vocals too.
