Fiddle player/violinist. Played on the usual club/pub/mini festival scene for many years. Prefer folk and folk/rock but have played in many pure rock bands over the years. I don't write material but can write my own parts for somebody else's material. I was originally classically trained so can read music but not very fluent any more.
Although recording isn't my favourite pastime, I have done session work in recording studios and am willing to put down a track if required.
I can play viola reasonably well and I also own an electric bass violin which produces a sound exactly like a cello, so cello parts are on the cards too.
I love doing backing vocals but I am not a singer by any stretch of the imagination (except in my van when I am the best). Er...a little pet hate of mine, I don't play Country and Western.
P.S. I'm honestly not as miserable as I look in the photos. :-)
