SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
I started playing drums as a kid and I've been in quite a few gigging bands over the years. Originals and covers. But all for fun. I've got a demanding job, and a family. So I've always had to work around that. Hence, the odd evening in the rehearsal rooms/venues I've been able to get to. Other than that, usually just weekends. After another long break, I brought my kit out of retirement to join a covers band and our first gig was a packed Clapham Grand on the lead up to Christmas. The second, with a tweaked line-up, was off the back of a flat bed lorry playing to a village fair audience in the rain. Three songs in and the sound team's generator packed up! Still, that's rock and roll. I've found a rhythm guitarist, but we need a lead guitarist. And if you can sing, even better. We definitely need a vocalist! Our ideal would be to find some equally half-decent (or really quite good) musos to form a four/five-piece covers group. It'd be great to play with some bandmates in a similar situation. And with a similar desire to have fun playing some crowd pleasing pop/rock/indie bangers at local(ish) gig venues.

Influences
Influences? Now that's a tough question. Everything from old school hip-hop through to metal, rock, pop, indie, shoe-gaze and techno. If I like it, I like it. And in a covers band setting, I've always played what the audience wants to hear. That's the whole point. So I'll be honest, Yellow, Why Does It Always Rain On Me, and Cigarettes and Alcohol aren't on heavy rotation at home. But I've always loved playing them out and watching people, including friends and family (or sometimes just family and friends) go mad for them. Anyway, we can discuss a set list further down the line

EQUIPMENT
A lovely five piece Premier kit with all the usual gear that goes with it. But more Ringo than Nicko if you know what I mean.
