Stormin Norman: I have played now for almost forty years, and have been a professional solo musician / entertainer for the past 29 years. Playing in hotels for tourists, weddings, background music, and events all over Scotland and England. I play an electronic accordion perfect for every occasion. On this I play Modern, Dance, old time, sing along, Scottish music and for dance, Line dancing, sequence dance, classical, rock and roll, country and pop.

Influences
I was influenced when young, by a Relative, Scott Skinner a famous fiddler, and Jimmy shand both influenced my Scottish Dance music style. As I accommodate and play for all my audiences and every ones taste in music genre and style. I play for my audience’s wither they are sitting listening, singing along or dancing to my music it will be music they know and love no matter what age they are.
EQUIPMENT
I always dress for the occasion, always smart, for Weddings a black suit, for every- where else, my own type of clothing style is accompanied by interchangeable accessories.
My Accordion is midi this means, I have linked onto the accordion with an expander. This gives me a real life sound of the original instrument, group of instruments or orchestra of different instruments quite outstanding and what fantastic sounds that can be created and of course played that comes out of the accordion.
I have wireless mikes, to tell jokes, and tell my audience and walk them through new dances, or for spot dance fun. I also use a mixer to have my audio levels perfect for every tune or music selection, or sequences. This is played through 2x450 watt Active Mackie speakers with sound activated lights. And take on gigs from afternoon tea dances, to event, Weddings, background lounge work and for Tourist hotel entertainment.
