ABOUT

Professional drummer available for Touring,Dep gigs and Studio Sessions.

Born in Valencia, Spain on 6 October 1982, Paco began to play the drums at the age of eight years old. From this age until he was 15, he studied music at his local music teaching centre in his hometown with specific attention to Percussion and Music Theory.  He then went the Music Conservatory of Valencia to study classical music and theory and graduated with a degree in Music and Percussion.
He continued focussing on drumming and percussion and played with bands and orchestras, one of which was a percussion group who won various awards including one in France. Paco’s true passion, however, was to play many different styles of music and in 1994 and 1995 he worked with a number of independent musicians. Between 1997 and 1998, he was the drummer and percussionist for the Orquesta Delicias and the Orquesta Maravillas in Spain.
He has been a drummer and session musician for many different styles of music, including Pop, Rock, Metal, Blues, Flamenco, Swing and Jazz. He has also played in a number of groups, releasing albums and touring throughout Spain, and has supported, musically and technically, such national and international musicians as:

Deep Purple, Skynny Molly (ex-members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet), Gerry Mcavoy's Rory Gallagher Band, Van Morrison, Johnny Winter, Blackfoot and ZZ TOP.

In between teaching private drum and percussion classes, Paco’s last project in Spain was playing drums and percussion in a musical based on the popular music from the time of the Spanish Civil War in the 30s, which included some Glenn Miller pieces.
In 2015, Paco began a new phase in his musical career and moved to Hampshire, England. He currently plays with Jackson and The Voyd who mix alternative pop roc and new wave and whose first album is being produced by the prestigious producer, Paul Waller, who is recognised for his work with artists such as Eric Clapton, BB King, Jeff Beck, All Saints, Spice Girls, Take That and many more.
Paco also played with renowned blues, soul and jazz singer, Ruby Tiger, of the band, Ruby and the Revelators. They performed at a number of festivals in the UK including the 25th anniversary of Blues on the Farm and the Cambridge Rock Festival as well as the 100 Club in London and many more important venues.
Paco also played with The Blue Bishops, whose former collaborators include Martin Turner of Wishbone Ash, Jim Rodford from Argent and the Kinks, Steve Rodford from The Zombies, Chris Hook from Voyager, Martin Barre from Jethro Tull, Jon Noyce from Gary Moore’s band, Rabbit from Free, and Rod Argent of the Zombies. The band has, and continues to have the very best, world-class talent to draw on for live work and recording. Their last album, ‘In the Red’ was co-produced by none other than legendary producers John Leckie and Stu Epps.
Recently, Paco had the opportunity to play with The Blue Bishops plus Martin Turner and the Grammy Award-winner, Elly Jackson “La Roux”, as part of the line up for a special event in London in June 2016

Paco was selected to join the Virtual Orchestra organized by the BBC, where he performs playing the percussion Cajon with many other musicians from UK. Wich the video first appearance was released via streaming on Royal Albert Hall at the Night of the Proms in September 2016.

When not in his home studio recording drum and percussion tracks for local artists, Paco plays at local open mic nights in Hampshire.  He also gives private drum and percussion classes, with specialist classes on how to play the cajon in the Spanish style.  Lastly, he has also put the skill and knowledge built up over the years to good use and is about to finish writing a book specifically for beginners on how to play the drums.
