I joined my first band as a vocalist whilst at school, and took up the sax at the age of 16. Over the following years I also started playing clarinet and flute, when I joined a touring folk band. I turned pro in the prog rock era for the next 20 years or so; touring and recording, and later settled as a sessions and depping musician. In more recent years, I have worked with function and pub bands, playing covers material. I guess I have 'been there and done it', and am looking now for something regular; i.e. a good, tight band who play gigs on a regular basis.

Influences
Wide and varied, and I have played most genres, including jazz etc, but I am not keen on heavy metal, punk of C&W. Anything else is fine; providing it's interesting and played well.
