I am not an advanced player nor a virtuoso, I prefer playing that is rhythmic, has character and style. I love all kinds of American music, but particularly alt-Americana and country, blues and indie.

Too many! All of the old country blues players (Rev Gary Davis, Blind Blake, Big Bill Broonzy), lots of country and RnB players (Keith Richards, Wilko Johnson, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Scotty Moore ...) and some modern contemporary players (Bill Frisell, Bill Orcutt)
