Former professional bassist and teacher (double bass and bass guitar including fretless and 5 string) looking for local (ish) rock/pop bands, jazz ensembles etc to gig with . Bmus degree from Royal Academy of Music and over 10 years experience playing (and recording) West End shows, orchestras, pop and jazz in many styles. Recently left a local band due to lack of vision and direction (!) - easy going and love playing as long as people are serious about their music!
Plenty of studio experience (from orchestras to rock and funk bands) - even including Studio One at Abbey Road :-)
Can also play piano/keyboards well, do some backing vox and a bit of rhythm guitar when needed
Equally Happy with a good covers/function/tribute band as jazz trio or original rock/pop band. I have time weekends and evenings to gig and rehearse and an estate car for transport!
