I remember as a young teenager, returning from my classical piano lessons and listening to Ramsey Lewis, thinking ‘what is he doing?’ So I quit my classical training, joined a band and did my first European tour. Since then, I have backed, toured, collaborated, produced, recorded with artists from Gloria Gaynor to Barbara Dickson. I have worked on 3 continents, and have played venues from stadiums to pubs. Throughout all this, I eventually learned that what Ramsey Lewis was doing, was expressing himself; and that is what I love to do, express myself! Or, to put it another way; "Don't make ya move, if it ain't got that groove".
