We have a first-class, ex-professional drummer with extensive experience, including jazz, and the best I have ever had the good fortune to play with. We are looking for as close to a perfect pairing as we can.
Important note: This project does not have gigging as a primary objective. Never say never, but safest to assume never. There are no objectives other than to develop as satisfying a sound as we can. Should that lead to a couple of sets of sounds that we’re really happy with, we’ll look at gigging again then. This is not for anyone whose primary motivation is to entertain an audience. However, if you do get your kicks from doing that, we would have no problem if you are in another band as well. Currently, our material is blues-based primarily but we’re not tied to anything other than a great groove.
A versatile and creative jammer is really the experience level needed, focussed on listening and contributing to the overall sound of the band, not just themselves, able to adapt to and complement what they’re hearing, knows enough to be able to switch keys quickly. You will need to be able to develop your own bass lines from Dave’s drums, as we will want to develop our own material through jamming from drums up.

(Btw. The attached early-stage rehearsal recordings were from a previous attempt, with no drums, that fell apart at the start of the pandemic. Me on vocals and lead guitar.)
