Hi - although I'm wanting to play bass guitar, I'm originally a keyboard player of many years, plus composer of music for adverts and short-films. I'm also producing a 70s disco album for a friend.

In recent years, I've picked up the bass guitar and have obsessed about learning the whole of the Duran Duran Rio album which I seem to have largely accomplished.

I'm now looking to join a fun band - as a bass player - playing covers, maybe with a bit of keyboard from time-to-time, but mostly bass. Initially meeting up for fun with likeminded people, perhaps gigging if we're good enough. I'm serious about my committment but I'm not looking to make a living out of this; that's for the day-job! I write enough of my own material to be happy with covers of other people's stuff, but if we end up writing new stuff, I'm not averse to that. I live in central London in Soho.

Influences
Duran Duran, early Simple Minds, Japan, Tears for Fears, most things new wave, Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel, electronica like Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Goldfrapp and Tangerine Dream. I'm strongly influenced by film music too such as John Carpenter, John Barry, Jerry Goldsmith, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Thomas Newman. I also like Rush and have a soft spot for bombastic 70s prog... but I'm not looking to play that type of music.
