First of all about me. I love golden oldies and classic pop songs. If I like it and I have the potential to sing and or play it I will have a go. I have worked in a couple of bands and also as a solo guitar/vocalist on the pub/club circuit. I love a mixture of fast Rock n Rollies to Bluesy ballards. I'm not getting any younger but I think I still haven't lost any quality as a singer or player and still perform with as much passion and enthusiasm as I always did.
I've tried many many duos, trios, bands etc. but for one reason or another it just hasn't quite materialised? it very nearly has twice.
At the moment I am jamming with a very tallented young man (only 21 years old) with absolutely no pressure and no high expectations, he enjoys our jamming sessions together and so do I. Josh plays lead guitar excepstionally well and bass. He also sings quite well. We have had a crack at about 10 Beatles songs and they sound pretty good either with Josh on lead or Bass and me on Rythm and both of us singing either lead vocal, backing or harmony. We don't just sing exclusively Beatles we've had a crack at many others and they're coming along quite nicely. To compensate the lack of other instruments in our set list we use edited backing tracks that might contain just drums and keyboard or what ever else is needed.
Ideally what we would like is and I know it's a big ask is a good keyboard player who can also sing, even more perfect would be someone with a fairly high voice, not necessarily a big range but high notes. I can do the low ones. Potentially it would be good to gig full time but there is no urgency. We are also very happy to learn some of your favourite songs. If this is of any interest please get in touch.
Thanks for Reading.
