Hi i'm a 23 year old pianist, guitarist, bass guitarist, trumpetist and producer from in and around the Manchester area. I just split recently from a fairly run of the mill indie band, in search of a more musically challinging, and completely original project with the aim to get people off their feet and want to start jumping up and down! Foals have, if i'm honest, been the band that have inspired me to want to do this - mixing up-tempo minimal, chninky guitars with interesting techno style synths, all layered over traditional, DFA style beats! I don't want to copy their style at all, but I do want to capture their sense of energy, and incorporate the huge number of ideas I have onto the same sort of drum beats. I'm sure that we would be original and interesting enough to eventually get signed!

Influences
I do want to play live as it's what gives me the biggest buzz, and eventually aim to create a truly original, mind blowing, tantalising experience for the senses. I do want to gig soon - but i also understand it may take some time to get things perfect, and that's definitely how i would want it to be, i am quite the perfectionist when it comes to performing live!
Members Of Band
So, ideally, my band would included members who could all play numerous instruments, and would also include using lots of synths to keep things constantly sounding fresh - simlar to hot chip's set up. However, anyone who is down to earth with varied musical tastes (excluding nu metal, heavy meatal, etc) or pretty clued up on their producing and is not confined to genre boundaries (i've tried working with these types of people in the past and it hasn't been easy!) and basically doesn't want to make anthing that is too cheesey - you should get in touch immediately! Anything is possible really with drum mapping, midi, and synth sampling! I'd absolutely love to work with a cool female vocalist along the lines of siouxsie sioux, debbie harry, Nico, Patti Smith, and that girl from the concretes - she's got the sexiest voice i've ever heard! Been quite into the ting tings recently, she's got an ace voice!
